With the European ski season pretty much over my guest blogger, Clare Hislop of Haus Hislop in Alpbachtal encourages us to explore her adopted home in the Spring.

The sun is already shining most days; Alpbachtal in the Spring is truly a spectacular place to visit. The landscape is a rich tapestry of pastures and forests, clear lakes and high snow peaks that combine to make this the most unspoilt surroundings in central Europe.

  1. The mountains are quiet, tranquil and peaceful. With very few tourists about you can wander all day and the most you will encounter will be cows, goats and the odd tractor.
