Face to Face. And Dream of Flying
pop quiz: perhaps this lady’s band, wailing about a bat and a cat, was for Warren
A year ago, the man responsible for the vast majority of the ski films that we love and are scared by in equal measure, Warren Miller, died. This year’s ski film is called ‘Face of Winter’ and, if you are lucky, you can see it on UK cinema screens across this month.
The ski film crews have covered the globe looking for great skiing. This has resulted in them recording fitting tributes to Warren’s life. They visited – Mount Baker, Washington; Switzerland, Rossland, British Columbia; Cordova, Alaska; Tordrillo, Alaska; Chamonix, France; Iceland; Chile; New Zealand; Blue River, British Columbia.
