Summer Fling Don’t Mean a Thing.

pop quiz: the lyric above is from what song and artist? clue: John says that’s greasy not waxy.

On the Snow has teamed up with US Ski Team members to create a series of videos. Each shows us ‘mortals’ a thing or two about ski fitness. Don’t forget, a leg lift is not supposed to be easy.

The summer nights are behind us. Halloween and Bonfire night are done. Christmas lights are starting to illuminate the streets. As the dark nights draw in, our thoughts turn to the ski season.

We’re heading to out to ski in Austria again this coming season. But whether you are heading to Andorra or Zermatt, now is the time to start doing something about your fitness.

If you don’t have a set of weights options include, firstly, a bag of sugar, secondly, a tin of paint or thirdly, anything you have in the house. You need something weighing between 2kg and 5kg. Then tackle this counterbalanced leg lift. Designed to strengthen hamstrings and hips and aid balance as part of your ski fitness routine.

Firstly get your counterbalanced leg lift sorted. Secondly, try these others, also from On the Snow.

pop trivia: “Summer fling don’t mean a thing” was one of John Travolta’s lines in the ultimate sing-a-long ‘Summer Nights’ from the 1978 movie ‘Grease’.
